Non-Earning Asset Management Post Check 21
During the period when interest rates were hovering near 1%, banks allowed their NEA management disciplines to slip. Now that rates are closer to historic averages, banks are scrambling to regain control of non-earning assets.
This session is a case study on how National City was able to reduce CIPC (cash items in process of collection) by over $1 Billion in less than two years. Although check processing will be included in the presentation, the speakers will highlight other areas of the Bank where they were successfully able to implement NEA related initiatives.
